Art is Love: 3:30 PM Artist Sean Starr invites you on a fascinating motorcycle through the heart of Nepal. Starr finds himself drawn in by the vibrant images of the multi-generational artisans who have devoted their lives to preserving ancient crafts and tradition. Followed by a Q & A session with Sean Star and the film makers Sarah Reyes and Daniel Driensky
Robt. Williams Facile Raconteur: 6:00 PM Step into the intoxicating world of Robert Williams. Facile Raconteur examines the life and creative genius of the "God Father of Lowbrow Art. Filmmaker Steve "Sketch" Vallino provides a unique perspective to William's outlaw artistry through in original animated short. Following the screening you'll meet the world famous artist. The Q & A session will be hosted by Joseph Givens; Instructor at the LSU College of Art & Design, as well as co-editor of the book "Robert Williams Conversations.
Craft of Speed (extended trailer) 7:30 PM Exclusive first look at the highly anticipated documentary from producer/writer/director Ming Lai. This story of passion and resilience chronicles two Japanese/Japanese American hot rodders, Shige Suganuma and Chico Kodama as they fight to preserve the iconic American speed company Moon Equipment. Their unwavering commitment to Dean Moon's original vision sparked a cultural evolution and transformed Moon Equipment into the globally admired brand Mooneyes. Screening to be followed but an introduction to the filmmaker and its iconic subjects.
